It was my friend's birthday today…
Or so I thought....
Or so I thought....
I rushed down the squeaky staircase and span into the kitchen. Then I thought," Can't wait to give Lucy her prezzie!" I had my yummy frosties for my breakfast and ran up the stairs back to my bedroom; I got dressed fast so I could get to Lucy’s house early.
I was ready. I ran out of the house and sped down the road. I was there. I knocked the door. It opened - it was Lucy. I shouted "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
“Its tomorrow...”
"Oh dear... I forgot it was leap year..."

ReplyDeleteThanks Sophie! It is a little bit funny!
DeleteThanks, and who are you anyway?
ReplyDeleteHello Molly,
ReplyDeleteI agree with some of your previous comments, this is quite a difficult prompt - especially if you are young and can't really remember many leap years. However, you tackled it really well by writing about something that always happened on March 1st!
Well done!

Hello Molly,
ReplyDeleteMy class and I were very impressed with your 100WC. You have used some advanced punctuation such as semi colons, ellipsis and accurate speech punctuation. We also like the fact that you have used some short sentences for effect. To improve further you might like to use a thesaurus to develop your vocabulary further.
Well done Molly.
Thanks, and next time I will use a theasurus!
DeleteThabks guys for all the comments!
ReplyDelete*Thanks
DeleteDear Molly, I enjoy reading your entry into 100wc this week. You have greatly improved your writing skills. Use of punctuation is just right. Nice piece. Well done!

Thanks for all the comments guy, but I need more!?!
ReplyDeleteHi Molly
ReplyDeleteI loved your theme for this week's 100WC as it is very easy to either forget someone's birthday or get the wrong date. You have used some brilliant adjectives, I particulary liked the 'yummy' Frosties. Using speech is always a clever thing to do - well done.
Thanks x I'm glad you like it!
DeleteThanks for all the comments!
ReplyDeleteI need more comments!
ReplyDeletewell tell everyone about the blog and ask them to comment!!
